Kim (Maggie Grace) is the daughter of Bryan (Liam Neeson) and Lenore (Famke Janssen), who are divorced. While on a trip to France, Kim and her best friend, Amanda (Katie Cassidy) are taken away by men who would attempt to force them to go into prostitution. Bryan, who used to work in the government, took the first flight to Paris, knowing that he had very few days to rescue his daughter. Bryan travels throughout Paris, seemingly making a mess of the city according to Jean Claude (Olivier Rabourdin), a former detective. Bryan discovers that Jean Claude was a part of the trafficking scheme but that he was doing it to provide for his family. Bryan finds Amanda first at the house described being "Paradise", laying dead on a bed due to overdose of drugs. In the end, he rescues Kim only after having to shoot a man in the head who was threatening to kill her. He then returns back to the U. S. with Kim safely.
