The story revolves around a couple Jack (Michael Keaton) and Caroline (Teri Garr) and their three children. They are some how managing their life when suddenly they get a set back. Jack is fired from his job. The couple starts searching for job, however Caroline gets a job but Jack does not. So ultimately he has to manage the house and kids in Caroline’s absence. He is completely ignorant of the household duties at the same time he has to manage his neighbor Joan (Ann Jillian). Caroline too is not very happy to know his boss Ron (Martin Mull) intentions and actually hit him. She even thinks that she has lost the job. However things change both Caroline’s and Jack’s boss ultimately hires them back due to their respective requirements of the client and the company. So finally their problems are sorted.
